The 42nd Muswellbrook Art Prize is now calling for entries.
The total prize pool is $30,000.
There are three sections:
Section A - Acquisitive Painting Prize $20,000
Section B - Acquisitive Work on Paper Prize $5,000
Section C - Acquisitive Ceramic Prize $5,000

Applications will open February 4th 2013 for The Children's Picture Book Illustrators' Initiative. Now in its 3rd year, the Initiative is run by the Australian Society of Authors which has secured funding from the Literature Board to offer grants of up to $15,000 are available for emerging, developing and established illustrators who have a specific project they'd like to develop. The Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship is now calling for applicants. The Fellowship was created to utilise the unique perspective of creatives to convey the Antarctic experience and the work being done there to other Australians. Read more
The Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarships provide support for young Australians in a variety of categories to help them further their cultural education and achieve their dreams. The Trust Company as Trustee is offering two scholarships in four categories worth $20,000 each, to candidates who show great promise in the arts and in literature. The categories are acting, painting, sculpture and singing. The scholarship funds can be used to assist with study programs, professional training courses and/or mentor programs. The Rural Women’s Network (RWN) wants to link with women around the state who are keen to share ideas and help them improve their understanding of regional needs and how to best address these and continually improve RWN services. The Rural Women Connect commitment will be for three years starting in 2013, with the aim of using phone and computer technology as much as possible to ensure distance is not a barrier to participation. Regions are loosely defined as North/Mid Coast, South Coast/Snowy Mountain, Central West, South West North West/Outback, and New England. Click here for more information. Read more
The Rocks Pop-up is looking for creative partners and practitioners interested in exhibition, experimentation and collaboration to join its community in 2012/13.
