12th National Rural Health Conference | Call for presentation proposals

The 12th National Rural Health Conference is calling for abstract submissions for presentations for their conference in Adelaide next April 2013. The theme of the conference is Strong Commitment, Bright Future and while presentations on unmet challenges, hurdles and barriers will not be excluded, the program will emphasise the positive elements of life in rural and remote Australia and the unique services that can be found there. Lady Mollie Isabelle Askin Ballet Scholarship

The Lady Mollie Isabelle Askin Ballet Scholarship provides support for ballet artists ages 17 to 29 to help further their cultural education. It is awarded every two years for study, maintenance and travel either in Australia or overseas. The Trust Company as Trustee is offering three scholarships of $20,000 each for 2012 to be paid in four instalments of $5,000 over two years. Second Tamworth Textile Triennial | Expressions of interest

Expressions of interest for artists wanting to partake in the second Tamworth Textile Triennial to be held in August 2014 are now open. The Triennial showcases contemporary textile artists and promotes the unique cultural heritage associated with textile practice. Expressions of interest are encouraged from a variety of disciplines, age groups, emerging artists and established practitioners. Details are available on the Tamworth Regional Gallery website. ATYP Scholarship for South West Arts region

South West Arts, in conjunction with Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) are offering a regional scholarship for a young person from the South West Arts region aged 12-18 years. The scholarship will enable the recipient to attend a week long school holiday workshop in Spring 2012 at ATYP in Sydney from 24 – 28 September or 1 – 5 October.
