RAF Project | REC Ya Shorts 2018 Escapes to New Regions

Now in its fourth year, the REC Ya Shorts Youth Film Festival is rolling out around Regional Australia for 2018, on the search for the next wave of young Australian filmmakers. This year’s program will also see over 70 in-school filmmaking and mental health workshops come to schools throughout Regional NSW for students interested in learning what it’s all about behind the camera lens. Small Town Ready to Host Film Festival for Country Kids’ Big Dreams

The Country Education Foundation of Canowindra is excited to announce the Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 short film festival supported by the Age of Fishes Museum and the Cabonne Council. The short film festival will be hosted in Canowindra at the Age of Fishes Museum on October 13, 2018 and feature short-form documentaries and mockumentaries from all over the world. Read more

Screenrights Announces New Cultural Fund

Screenrights, the audio-visual copyright society for Australia and New Zealand, has announced a new Cultural Fund to support innovative new projects which will foster the creation and appreciation of screen content in Australia and New Zealand. The total pool available for the 2018 Cultural Fund round is $AU200,000. Read more

Local Government NSW (LGNSW) has called upon councils across NSW to nominate for the Leo Kelly OAM Arts and Culture Awards. Nominations for the awards, which celebrate outstanding achievement by local government organisations in strategic planning and delivery of arts and culture to local communities, are now open. Sustainability leaders and innovators can now be nominated for the 19th annual Green Globe Awards, Environment Minister Gabrielle Upton announced today.
