Screenrights Announces New Cultural Fund

Screenrights, the audio-visual copyright society for Australia and New Zealand, has announced a new Cultural Fund to support innovative new projects which will foster the creation and appreciation of screen content in Australia and New Zealand. The total pool available for the 2018 Cultural Fund round is $AU200,000. Read more

Local Government NSW (LGNSW) has called upon councils across NSW to nominate for the Leo Kelly OAM Arts and Culture Awards. Nominations for the awards, which celebrate outstanding achievement by local government organisations in strategic planning and delivery of arts and culture to local communities, are now open. Nominations Open for 2018 NSW Green Globe Awards

Sustainability leaders and innovators can now be nominated for the 19th annual Green Globe Awards, Environment Minister Gabrielle Upton announced today. Entries Now Open for Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award

Entries are now open for the Grafton Regional Gallery’s flagship art prize, the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA). All artists living in Australia are eligible to enter the JADA, which accepts both traditional and contemporary interpretations of drawing. Read more

2018 will mark the fifth year of the annual CHASS Australia Prizes. The Australia Prizes honour distinguished achievements by Australians working, studying, or training in the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) sectors, including academics, researchers, practitioners, philanthropists, policy makers, and students. Save the date for the Kangaroo Valley $5000 Art Prize and exhibition, with entries open from 15 August to the 12 September. Submissions are invited from all artists. Any two-dimensional work including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital art and mixed media is eligible. Read more

Nominations Open for 2018 NSW Creative Achievement Awards

Minister for Trade and Industry Niall Blair is calling on the state’s brightest creative talent to nominate for the 2018 NSW Creative Achievement Awards. The awards, held on June 12 in Sydney, celebrate and reward NSW’s creative industries achievements. “Our creative industries are significant drivers of innovation, jobs and economic growth and deserve strong recognition,” Mr Blair said.
