Wendy Whiteley to Open Sculptures in the Garden 2018

Regional Australia’s premier sculpture exhibition, Sculptures in the Garden is excited to announce that Wendy Whiteley has been confirmed to open this year’s event. Whiteley, who is well known for her contribution to the Arts and her secret garden in Sydney’s Lavender Bay, will be involved in the two-day event for the first time. Read more

NERAM | Helen Dangar Memorial Bursary

NERAM will be launching the 2018 Helen Dangar Memorial Bursary on July 18th at a talk by the 2017 recipient, Lizzie Horne. Lizzie who has recently returned from her bursary funded printmaking workshop in Florence, Italy. Read more

Queen's Birthday 2018 Honours | Regional NSW Heroes

On the 11 June, the Governor General announced a number of appointments and awards for the Queen's Birthday Honours, including a number of regional NSW heroes. Australian Artists Invited to Enter the Inaugural Evelyn Chapman Art Award

Perpetual, as Trustee, is pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for Australian painters. The Evelyn Chapman Art Award provides a $50,000 scholarship for an Australian painter, male or female under the age of 45, to ‘engender the encouragement, development and rewarding of artistic skill, through furthering the training and knowledge and skills of Australian painters.’ Read more

RAF Project | REC Ya Shorts 2018 Escapes to New Regions

Now in its fourth year, the REC Ya Shorts Youth Film Festival is rolling out around Regional Australia for 2018, on the search for the next wave of young Australian filmmakers. This year’s program will also see over 70 in-school filmmaking and mental health workshops come to schools throughout Regional NSW for students interested in learning what it’s all about behind the camera lens. Small Town Ready to Host Film Festival for Country Kids’ Big Dreams

The Country Education Foundation of Canowindra is excited to announce the Cano Mocs and Docs 2804 short film festival supported by the Age of Fishes Museum and the Cabonne Council. The short film festival will be hosted in Canowindra at the Age of Fishes Museum on October 13, 2018 and feature short-form documentaries and mockumentaries from all over the world. Read more
