Only 4 Weeks Left to Submit to Sculptures in the Garden

Regional sculpture exhibition, Sculptures in the Garden is calling for final submissions to their 2018 exhibition in October with entries closing in 4 weeks. The annual two-day exhibition will again be held in the garden at Rosby vineyard in Mudgee, NSW on the 6th and 7th of October and is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors to the 8th annual event. The Basil Sellers Art Prize Now Open for Entries

The Basil Sellers Art Prize is now calling for entries, with submissions closing Monday 10 September at 4pm. Run by Eurobodalla Shire Council, the $20,000 acquisitive art prize and exhibition features 2D artworks (excluding photography and digital media) and is open to artists living in NSW and the ACT. Wendy Whiteley to Open Sculptures in the Garden 2018

Regional Australia’s premier sculpture exhibition, Sculptures in the Garden is excited to announce that Wendy Whiteley has been confirmed to open this year’s event. Whiteley, who is well known for her contribution to the Arts and her secret garden in Sydney’s Lavender Bay, will be involved in the two-day event for the first time. Read more

NERAM | Helen Dangar Memorial Bursary

NERAM will be launching the 2018 Helen Dangar Memorial Bursary on July 18th at a talk by the 2017 recipient, Lizzie Horne. Lizzie who has recently returned from her bursary funded printmaking workshop in Florence, Italy. Read more

Queen's Birthday 2018 Honours | Regional NSW Heroes

On the 11 June, the Governor General announced a number of appointments and awards for the Queen's Birthday Honours, including a number of regional NSW heroes. Regional Arts NSW congratulates these recipients and thanks them for their tireless work for the regional arts and cultural sector in NSW. Read more

Australian Artists Invited to Enter the Inaugural Evelyn Chapman Art Award

Perpetual, as Trustee, is pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for Australian painters. The Evelyn Chapman Art Award provides a $50,000 scholarship for an Australian painter, male or female under the age of 45, to ‘engender the encouragement, development and rewarding of artistic skill, through furthering the training and knowledge and skills of Australian painters.’ Read more

RAF Project | REC Ya Shorts 2018 Escapes to New Regions

Now in its fourth year, the REC Ya Shorts Youth Film Festival is rolling out around Regional Australia for 2018, on the search for the next wave of young Australian filmmakers. This year’s program will also see over 70 in-school filmmaking and mental health workshops come to schools throughout Regional NSW for students interested in learning what it’s all about behind the camera lens.
