Call for Entries: 2017 NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize

Professional and emerging artists with a penchant for painting ‘en plein air’ will have the chance to win $20,000 with the NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize, which opens for entries on Monday 19 June 2017. Artists are invited to enter up to two paintings done en plein air, of a New South Wales subject, with the work begun on or after May 2015. Read more

Sculptures in the Garden | Submissions Open

Artists are invited to an open call for submissions to one of the largest sculpture exhibitions in rural NSW – Sculptures in the Garden 2017. 
Held over two days, Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th October 2017, this not for profit outdoor exhibition gives local, regional and interstate artists an avenue to exhibit their works in beautiful rural surroundings within a private garden and vineyard in Mudgee NSW. Read more

Arthur Guy Memorial Painting Prize

Designed to attract some of Australia’s finest contemporary artists and high calibre works, the inaugural Arthur Guy Memorial Painting Prize and exhibition was first held in 2003 at Bendigo Art Gallery. The Prize is now open for entries for the 2017 iteration. Read more

Clarence Valley Indigenous Art Award launches for 2017

Entries for the Grafton Regional Gallery’s 2017 Clarence Valley Indigenous Art Award (CVIAA) are now open. The CVIAA aims to promote contemporary Indigenous art of the North Coast of New South Wales and develop the collection of contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art held by the Grafton Regional Gallery.
