Artist with Disability Jeremy Hawkes Awarded $30k Create NSW 2018-19 Fellowship

Lismore-based artist with disability Jeremy Hawkes has been awarded a $30,000 2018/19 Creative Development Fellowship from Create NSW that will support him in completing studio based research and development, fund a residency at the Berlin Art Institute, see him attend national and international arts conferences and study at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. Artist Update | Mez Breeze Partners with Microsoft, Samsung

In September 2017, Regional Arts NSW profiled Goulburn artist Mez Breeze, following her win of Best Experimental Game at the inaugural Game Design Awards in Dundee, Scotland. Since then, Breeze has continued to prove that living in the regions is no barrier to an international career, through a partnership with Microsoft, Samsung and MasterpieceVR for a VR Influencers Sustainability Initiative. Cementa 17| An Interview with Artist Miriam Williamson

A once flourishing cement works town, Kandos (pop. 1,200) is located 3.5 hours from Sydney between the towns of Lithgow and Mudgee. The town owes its existence to the plentiful supplies of limestone and coal in the region, which supported the former cement plant up until its closure in 2012. Read more
