Applications will open February 4th 2013 for The Children's Picture Book Illustrators' Initiative. Now in its 3rd year, the Initiative is run by the Australian Society of Authors which has secured funding from the Literature Board to offer grants of up to $15,000 are available for emerging, developing and established illustrators who have a specific project they'd like to develop. Grafton Regional Art Gallery is currently showing a cutting edge mixed-media exhibition which forms part of a collaboration with the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) and partner galleries. Read more
Judy O’Neill is a Gamilaroi woman from Goodooga and has lived in Orange since 1999. She is a talented artist whose goal was to form a local group of indigenous and non-indigenous women who practice traditional and contemporary raffia weaving styles weekly and exhibit their creations. Read more
The Australian Antarctic Arts Fellowship is now calling for applicants. The Fellowship was created to utilise the unique perspective of creatives to convey the Antarctic experience and the work being done there to other Australians. Read more
