Elizabeth Rogers

Elizabeth joined Regional Art NSW as the Chief Executive Officer in December, 2006.  Since that time she has developed and implemented a new strategic direction for the organisation focusing on its role as a peak body and service agency for arts and cultural development across rural and regional areas of the state. She works closely with the state wide network 13 regional arts boards and acts as an advocate for the network with the state and federal governments. Elizabeth travels extensively throughout the state giving support to the regional development officers and gaining first hand information about many of the challenges facing regional communities as well as seeing the great arts and cultural projects produced in the regions. 

Elizabeth has a very broad base of arts management and arts marketing experience gained in over 20 years work in the field in both metropolitan and regional areas. She moved to Regional Arts NSW from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she was Manager, Marketing & Communications for two years. In that time she developed and implemented key marketing and communications strategies. Previously, she was the Director of Canberra Arts Marketing for six and a half years. This was a unique role where she represented a large diversity of arts organisations making up Australia's leading arts marketing consortium.

Elizabeth has worked as an arts marketer, arts manager, publicist, festival director and presenter, as an employee as well as freelance, for a wide diversity of performing arts organisations since the early eighties.

Palmarita D'Orazio

Palmarita D'Orazio

Palmarita joined Regional Arts NSW in April 2008.

Palmarita has very broad experience in financial accounting and statutory reporting. Previously, she was a senior financial accountant with Milton Corporation for ten years, and also worked as an accountant with AGL Company.

In the Regional Arts NSW office, Palmarita will manage all the finances, including the insurance policies and the funding program.

Annette Eassie

Annette Eassie

Annette joined Regional Arts NSW in June 2003.

Annette's 20 year involvement in the arts has been as a volunteer and practitioner in both rural and metropolitan areas. She began working as a psychologist in Papua New Guinea for three years and then spent five years with the Department of Defence (Navy) in Perth. Since then she has worked in CCD, as manager of a family support agency in Karratha, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, and as a Community Development Coordinator for Learning Centre Link, the peak body for community neighbourhood and learning centres in WA.

Over a period of fifteen years Annette has also initiated, coordinated, administered and managed many (lost count!) small and large scale community arts projects and events, including a Community Arts Festival in the hills of Perth which was the culmination of a number of community cultural development projects and reputed as a "best practice" model.

Through her roles as Festival Manager and Community Development Coordinator, Annette has gained considerable knowledge of and experience in funding programs, as an applicant herself, as mentor to others and as facilitator of grant-writing workshops. She is also familiar with regional and rural issues, having spent her first twenty years in small country towns in NSW, eight years in the isolated Pilbara region of WA and the last nine years working with groups in regional and rural WA.

Annette is primarily responsible for the administration of the Regional Arts Fund at Regional Arts NSW.

Ben Sibson

Ben Sibson

Ben joined Regional Arts NSW in July 2008.

Since graduating with honours in composition from the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music in 1997, Ben has worked as a freelance composer and percussionist on a variety of projects and in many genres. He has composed music for many theatrical works, and has received several commissions from performing bodies.

As a performer, he has many years experience as a drummer/percussionist, keyboardist, vocalist, conductor and musical director, spanning many genres. He has performed at venues and festivals throughout Australia and Asia, including Womadelaide, Port Fairy, Apollo Bay and Bellingen folk festivals, and the festival of Island Cultures in Cheju, Korea.

He has lectured in music technology, ethnic percussion and aural skills at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, worked in support and logistics for the Victorian College of the Arts Music School,  and has been an Arts Program Officer with both Arts Tasmania and Arts Victoria.

Elinor Heard

Administration & communications Officer

Elinor Heard

Elinor joined Regional Arts NSW in June 2009. 

Since gaining a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Tasmania in 2003, Elinor has worked as an administrator, project manager and editor for a variety of arts and media organisations, including a regional writers' centre, a film production group and two local publishers.

Elinor has postgraduate qualifications in writing, editing, marketing and book publishing. She completed a Graduate Diploma in Writing at UTS in 2005 and writes short fiction and poetry, which is occasionally published.

Elinor is responsible for administration of the Regional Arts NSW office, maintenance of the website and production of the monthly e-Bulletin.
