Living Arts and Culture: 'Our Stories' to Launch Online For NAIDOC Week06.07.2021
Outback Arts have announced the next aspect to their extensive Living Arts & Culture portfolio which in 2018-2019 profiled 33 Aboriginal artists across the region. The next step in this project is Living Arts & Culture: ‘Our Stories’ which delves into the artistic and cultural practices of nine Aboriginal artists and Knowledge Holders using videography and other creative delivery methods.
The nine subjects share their stories and and identify how their artworks and cultural practices are inspired by the landscape as well as how their works connect with the country.
The films will be launched online in response to the latest COVID-19 risks, and will each reflect this years NAIDOC theme of Heal Country! Artist and videographer Andrew Hull has worked hard to produce these powerful and moving films.
