Congratulations to The Arbour Festival team!

From 28 December 2020 to 15 February 2021, the Snowy Valleys became home to Arbour Festival – a 50 day festival that marked the one year anniversary of the Dunns Road Fire.

Spanning across communities all over the region, creative workshops, installations, exhibitions, film festivals and concerts were some of the many activities that were attended by many across the Festival.

The Dunns Road fire wrought havoc and devastation throughout this peaceful place for 50 days. To see the same place, one year on, transformed into a creative hub of community spirt, celebration and hope was truly amazing.

Regional Arts NSW would like to congratulate the entire Arbour Festival team who worked to make this event happen – with special mention going to Curator, Vanessa Keenan, Producer Tim Kurylowicz, and team at Eastern Riverina Arts.

If you would like to hear more about the story of Arbour Festival and explore the role that event-based arts initiatives play in the wake of disaster, have a listen to Creative Responders episode – Growing new possibilities in the Snowy Valleys.
