South East Arts advocates for bushfire recovery programs03.02.2020
The Australian bushfire emergency has had a huge impact on the NSW South Coast which has in turn affected the South Coast Arts sector. This includes: the loss of studios, workshops, arts/craft retail businesses, the cancellation of the Cobargo and Numeralla Folk Festivals and the ongoing loss of income through cancelled gigs, exhibitions, and other events.
South East Arts has created a survey to collect data to use to advocate for financial support, recovery programs and ongoing funding; and is also developing a partnership with tourism agencies to promote cultural tourism opportunities throughout the April 2020 school holiday period.
If you or anyone you know in the Arts sector from the Bega Valley Shire, Eurobodalla Shire or Snowy Monaro Regional Council areas and have suffered a direct impact from the bushfire please complete the South East Arts impact survey.
