Four Winds Searches for Aboriginal Creative Producer06.06.2019
Four Winds has entered into an exciting partnership with the National Museum of Australia’s Cultural Connections Program. As such, it is now seeking an Aboriginal Creative Producer to join their small team and assist the organisation in delivering Aboriginal content in their 2019 and 2020 Festival Program.
“Four Winds is committed to presenting established and emerging Indigenous artists in their year round programming”, says Four Winds Artistic Director James Crabb.
“We also have a long history of ensuring our visiting artists engage with local Aboriginal community members and artists. We want to further develop this aspect of our organisation. Employing an Aboriginal person with strong connections to and understanding of this area will ensure this is done in an appropriate way” he continued.
We are looking for a person with community engagement skills and experience in creative programming and production. Our team is very welcoming and is looking forward to learning from and sharing skills with the successful applicant.
“We believe this is an important position within arts organisations and thank the National Museum of Australia for assisting us in making this financially possible.” said David Francis, Four Winds Executive Director.
