The Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) are offering financial support for successful regionally-based applicants to their Talent Camp program.
An initiative by AFTRS, the Australian Writers Guild (AWG) and Create NSW, Talent Camp is a skills development program for creatives from diverse backgrounds, designed to provide opportunities for emerging storytellers to create new content and be employment ready for the screen sector.
The 2019 Talent Camp focuses on episodic narrative, both short and long form, with pathways for emerging talent to develop their own web series, find employment in television series and further their education and experience in screen.
The week-long workshops are free and regional participants will receive financial support for travel and accommodation.
Other access costs will be met on a needs basis.
AFTRS are also seeking applications from creatives from under-represented communities with reference to cultural background, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, geographic and/ or socio-economic circumstance. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander creatives are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applications close 31 May.
