Murray Arts has a number of new opportunities available for participation in arts programs, advisory committees, arts festivals, theatre and public art.

 

Ephemeral Art Program – EOIs Open

Wodonga Council aims to support a fun and creative city through the Space Activation arts program. Creating the unexpected is the key objective.

Council is calling on visual artists to express their interest for inclusion in various short-term art projects in 2019 – a great opportunity for artists to show their work in high visibility spaces and places. These rotating art projects include:

Albury Wodonga Arts & Culture Festival – EOIs Open

A festival inspired by the unique properties of its location – two cities, two states, divided by the Murray River.

The Albury-Wodonga Arts and Cultural Festival will highlight the high calibre of the local creative community through a carefully curated program of events, workshops and cultural experiences for all. The festival will offer a stage for professional creative organisations to demonstrate the very best of their artistic ability.

EOIs are open to artists to create immersive and exciting festival experiences which stimulate curiosity, creativity and a vibrant community spirit.

Federation Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee – EOIs Open

Federation Council is currently seeking expression of interest from local community and creative industry representatives, who reside in the Federation Council, to participate in the new Federation Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee.

Council is looking for a range of members who will represent diverse creative forms and practices, have expertise relevant to the arts in the Federation LGA, can contribute knowledge, skills and expertise to the committee, and reflect the diversity of Federation’s population and geographic spread.

‘Celsius’ – Call for Submissions

Celsius is a pilot independent performance development initiative for the Albury-Wodonga region created and managed by HotHouse Theatre. Celsius supports resourcing for dramaturgy, creative development and the presentation of locally-produced independent productions in 2019/20.

In the current round closing 3 June, three projects will receive support for Creative Development, and three for Independent Production between July and December 2019. You can submit to either the Creative Development or the Production stand (but not both for 2019).

Walla Walla Silo Mural Project – EOIs Open

Visual artists interested in engaging with the community of Walla Walla, NSW have an opportunity to make their dreams a reality of bringing their town silos to life with engaging murals.

The Walla Walla Silo Art Committee proposes to commission a significant public artwork on the Walla Walla Silos.

This project is in its infancy. Fundraising has just commenced for the project with funding sources expected from local businesses, and donations from local residents. Grant funding will also be explored at a later date.
