Applications Now Open for Screen Composing Bootcamp 2019

Screenworks has opened applications for its Screen Composing Bootcamp 2019, its targeted mentorship program aimed at regionally-based screen composers.

Now in its second year, the project helps four early career composers from regional New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland by giving them the opportunity to be mentored by industry professionals.

The Bootcamp also includes an all expenses paid trip to a metropolitan centre so selected participants can shadow their mentor, meet composers and immerse themselves in the screen composing industry.

The highly successful mentors who will be contributing time to the program include: Adam Gock, The D.A’s Office (Masterchef, Gogglebox), Bryony Marks, inSync Music (2040, Barracuda, Summer Heights High), Rhonda Davidson-Irwin (Outgoing CEO of Music Australia) and Guy Gross (Peter Rabbit, Priscilla Queen of the Desert).

The program is supported by Screenworks and APRA AMCOS. At least 50% of the selected participants will also be female, in a bid to address the gender imbalance within the Australian and New Zealand music industry.

Applications close at midnight on Sunday 24 March.
