Brae Tye- No Limits & The Art Factory in Conversation

On Wednesday 3 April between 11am – 12pm Art Factory artist Brae Tye will launch his first solo exhibition No Limits, followed by The Art Factory in Conversation at the Riverina Community College Gallery.

The Art Factory is proud to present Brae Tye’s first solo exhibition No Limits, accompanied by The Art Factory in Conversation as part of Wagga Wagga City Councils ‘FRESH’ Festival.

The Art Factory is a supported studio offering guidance, mentoring, networks and career paths to assist in further establishing and maintaining a contemporary arts practice for artists with an intellectual disability.

Wagga Wagga City Councils FRESH Festival creatively combines Seniors Week and Youth Week celebrations into a month-long program of talks, workshops and events.

Brae’s artworks featured in No Limits are created using acrylic paint and pastel on black card, depicting bright red, yellow and orange tones in sweeping gestures.

Leanne Sanders, Wagga Wagga City Councils Aboriginal Youth and Community Development Officer will officially open Brae’s exhibition. She comments about the show, “The two series of artworks created by Brae ‘Wildfire’ and ‘Tumbleweed’ demonstrate a connection to country for Brae, and the holistic connection between country and wellbeing”.

Following the official opening of No Limits, Art Factory artists Rochelle and Chrystelle will guide the audience into the studio to lead a conversation with fellow artists about their works and working as part of a Supported Studio.

All are welcome to attend the exhibition and talk at Riverina Community College from 10am – 2:30pm on Wednesday 3 April. To celebrate with the artists, please join us for the official opening on Wednesday 3 April from 11am – 12pm.
