The Seed Fund Announces 2019 Workshop 'The Future Makers'

The Seed Fund’s much anticipated workshop will be back in 2019 and the scope will now include artists who are managed as well as self managed artists and artist managers.

Over 12 years The Seed Fund Management Workshop has become a cornerstone of the Australian music industry, working with over 250 managers and self managed artists, many of whom went on to become self sustained and continue to thrive in our industry. After delivering their 10th workshop The Seed Fund crew took a break to consider the most powerful way forward.

Since inception The Seed Fund has been directed by practicing artists and are inspired to embolden artists, positioning them front and center in their own industry, to inform, to support and to give agency. The Seed Fund now wants to break new ground and explore what is possible, for artists and for the music community. The Fund aims to look at industry standards that we have inherited, question the status quo and ensure that the practices we are engaging in are current and tested, relevant and valid.

“Knowledge is power. In the isolation of being a self-managed artist, one can become completely disenfranchised. The entire Seed team delivered a safe space to inspire, and bestow their message to us, one of hard work, passion and experience. I left The Seed feeling recharged and empowered to move forward.” – Gabrielle Huber. Self Managed, NSW
