Ganmain to Host Festival of Small Halls

Ganmain has scored a major coup with the Festival of Small Halls Summer Tour bringing Canadian folk powerhouses The Small Glories and captivating Australian star Claire Anne Taylor to the small village this Australia Day.

Both artists on this year’s tour are looking forward to the intimacy of playing a regional tour. The Small Glories are a new folk ‘supergroup’, made up of Cara Luft and JD Edwards. Not so much known as revered in their native Canada, each enjoyed decades of individual success before being thrown together by pure chance at an anniversary concert.

Claire Anne Taylor crafts soulful folk songs that capture both the beautiful and dark elements of the human experience. Her music ranges from warm, mesmerising ballads to epic anthems. With vivid storytelling, colossal vocals and a powerfully captivating stage presence, her live shows leave the audience in no doubt that they have just witnessed something extraordinary.

Talented local performer Amanda Hayes will also entertain the crowd rounding out the evening. Doors open at 6pm with a BBQ dinner and bar facilities will also be available. Local accommodation can be booked at the Ganmain Hotel or great camping facilities are also available at the local Showground.

Ganmain’s reputation for hosting cultural events is growing and ticket sales have already taken off. Tickets are available online from the Festival of Small Halls website or at the door and cost $15 adult, $10 child.

We encourage you to grab yours today so you don’t miss out!
