Nominations are now open for the 2017 Green Globe Awards, the leading environmental recognition program in NSW celebrating excellence, leadership and innovation in sustainability.
There’s never been a more important time to reward people who come up with ideas and solutions to help our environment.
There are 10 awards on offer including the Young Sustainability Champion award. This award is open to anyone 25 or younger living in NSW who delivers practical environmental solutions and engages a community to improve its environmental record.
The Department of Environment & Heritage encourage up and coming environmental leaders to apply. Anyone can nominate themselves or someone else deserving of recognition. Whether the contribution is large or small, they want to hear from you.
Previous winners include Joshua Gilbert, climate change advocate and Seda Hamoud, student environmental leader.

Nominations are open until 5pm Tuesday 27 June 2017.
The winners will be announced at the Green Globe Awards ceremony hosted by Environment Minister at the Art Gallery of NSW on 19 October 2017.
