Screenworks | Applications Now Open for Deadlock Director Attachment

Screenworks is now calling for applications for a Director Attachment opportunity as part of the Deadlock Attachment Program.
The Director Attachment opportunity is open to people aged between 18 & 30 years (as at 30 June 2017) and living in the Northern Rivers region (which includes the following local government areas: Tweed Shire Council, Byron Shire Council, Kyogle Council, Ballina Council, Lismore City Council, Richmond Valley Council, Clarence Valley Council).

The purpose of the Deadlock Director Attachment (paid internship opportunity) is to recognise and support the development of a young screen director living in the Northern Rivers who wishes to direct television drama.
Please refer to the application form for full details about: the selection criteria, application requirements and the selection process for this attachment opportunity.
The selected applicant for the Deadlock Director Attachment will participate in the attachment on a full-time basis and will be paid $4,800 for 4 weeks (1 week pre-production and 3 week shoot), plus provided an additional unpaid attachment opportunity of a trip to Melbourne including travel, accommodation and per diems.
Screenworks and Every Cloud Productions will discuss the attachment opportunity with the selected applicant and may choose to amend the attachment within the budget parameters.
Once we have selected the person for the director attachment role, a schedule and agreement will be drawn up with the participant and key parties outlining the role and responsibilities, dates and time frame.
Screenworks will work with Every Cloud Productions and the selected Director Attachment to monitor the progress of the attachment at different stages of the program. The attachment is expected to provide a written report and participate in a phone briefing with Screenworks.
