Nathaneal O'Reilly in Residence at Booranga Writers' Centre15.05.2017
Nathanael O’Reilly, Australian-born poet now living and teaching in the United States, will be in residence at Booranga Writers’ Centre from 17th to 30 May 2017.
While in Wagga Wagga, Nathanael’s latest collection of poetry, Preparations for Departure, will be launched by Wagga Wagga poet, and Senior Lecturer in English at Charles Sturt University, Dr Lachlan Brown. The event will feature reading by Nathanael from this newly published collection as well as readings of new work by Lachlan Brown.
Nathanael O’Reilly was born in Warrnambool and raised in Ballarat, Brisbane and Shepparton. He has travelled on five continents and spent extended periods in England, Ireland, Germany, Ukraine and the United States, where he currently resides.
His poems have appeared in journals and anthologies published in nine countries. He teaches Australian, British, Irish and Postcolonial literature at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
