South East Arts | Board EOI

South East Arts NSW is calling for Expressions of Interest from suitable persons to join the South East Arts Board.
 
South East Arts is the regional development organisation for arts and culture in the Bega Valley, SnowyMonaro and Eurobodalla. We actively assist the ongoing development of, and participation in arts and culture throughout the South East Region. Over the last few years South East Arts has undergone significant transition, expansion and our current 2016-2018 Strategic Plan sees the organisation moving into new arenas including arts and health, cultural tourism initiatives, film, disability and the launch of our new Public Fund.
 
The South East Arts Board has a very positive, active, professional and collegiate board culture and is made up of 10 Members composed of Councillors from each council and skills-based co-opted professionals from the community. Board Members are appointed for a 2 year term and are eligible for reappointment for 2 further terms of 2 years each. Board Members can only serve the Board for a maximum of 6 years. The South East Arts Board meet 4-5 times per year around the south east region. South East Arts is seeking 2-3 new skills-based Board Members from the community.

 

Specialist Areas Sought:

The Board is particularly keen to hear from candidates with a skills-base not limited to but drawing from the fields of Health, Law, Arts Management, Fundraising, Indigenous Culture and the Disability Sector. We are seeking new members who are passionate about the community, have connections and experience beyond the region that they can bring to the Board, and have an appreciation of arts and culture and the role it plays in building and driving community. As a registered charity with a public fund, the Board members of South East Arts play an active role in fundraising and promoting the organisation through their networks.
 
EOI process and timeline Expressions of Interest should be received by 24 February 2017.
