Muswellbrook | Growing Local Tourism Talent Course16.02.2017
Recent school leavers, unemployed people with hospitality qualifications, existing hospitality workers, and Visitor Information Centre volunteers or people whose current business links to the tourism industry are encouraged to attend a two hour introduction to a ‘Growing Local Tourism Talent’ information session at Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre on Tuesday 28 February, 2017 at 11am.
Upper Hunter Country Tourism and Muswellbrook Shire Council are partnering on a new tourism initiative called ‘Growing Local Tourism Talent’. This initiative introduces participants to the local opportunities that tourism has to offer; it provides a part-qualification, work experience with a local business, and exposure to tourism activity and opportunities across the Upper Hunter. This course is also for anyone who has thought about starting a tourism or hospitality business.
The information session will explain the ‘Growing Local Tourism Talent’ program and provide further information about work opportunities in the tourism industry and local study options. For more information and expressions of interest please contact Carolyn O’Brien, Community Services Manager at Muswellbrook Shire Council on 0409 228 879.
