2016 JADA – Entries Closing Soon

The Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA) has been the means by which the Grafton Regional Gallery has gathered a unique and impressive collection of contemporary Australian drawing. The award was established in 1988 and is now a biennial event.

The major award of $30,000 is acquisitive, along with further acquisitions to the value of $10,000.  Entries selected for each JADA tour regional and metropolitan galleries for a period of approximately eighteen months.

The JADA provides artists who reside in Australia a unique opportunity to explore the complexity of drawing through the Australia’s richest regional drawing award.

The JADA seeks to encourage and promote innovation and excellence in drawing and plays a vital role in fostering Australian drawing practice.

Grafton Regional Gallery will be taking entries for the 2016 JADA until 4pm Friday 5 August.
