CASP Applications Close 1 October

Applications for projects to be funded under the Country Art Support Program close on 1 October.

The grants for a maximum amount ranging from $3,000 to $5000 (varying by Regional Arts Board) are available to groups and organisations based in regional NSW for projects occurring between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2016.

CASP provides small grants to arts and community organisations and local arts councils for short term, locally initiated arts projects with the program aiming to assist locally determined cultural activities.

Ninety-nine new arts projects in regional, rural and remote projects, ranging through writers festivals, stage lighting workshops, music, light festivals, dance and digital art, were funded through the program for 2015.

A current project funded through CASP is the Post Box Project where artists with disabilities received materials for an art project.

Applicants must read the guidelines and speak to the Regional Arts Development Officer (RADO) for their region before applying. If you aren’t in an areas serviced by a RADO, talk to the Funding Manager, Fiona Hunt, at RANSW on 02 9270 2502 or email
