'Arts Law in Tune' - Legal Rights for Musicians and Composers30.09.2015
The changing and challenging digital landscape for people in the music industry has prompted a new campaign from Arts Law – ‘Arts Law in Tune’.
The campaign highlights legal issues facing musicians and composers in the digital age, and the services and resources it has to support them.
The central hub for the campaign is the new music page on Arts Law’s website which showcases its extensive range of contract templates, e-publications, free information sheets and multimedia. It is also a space to share practical tips, case studies, articles and Q & As authored by arts law solicitors, law student volunteers and industry experts.
‘Arts Law in Tune’ coincides with Arts Law’s music-focussed events in November: an interactive webinar and the Annual Fundraising Concert, featuring live performances from Simon Tedeschi and Kevin Hunt, co presented by Sydney Grammar School.
Arts Law Executive Director, Robyn Ayres said digital platforms present musicians with new opportunities and challenges and the campaign will help musicians understand what the issues are and how Arts Law can support them.
