The Arts Community Pro Bono Award15.05.2015
It’s your turn to nominate a lawyer who has assisted your Arts organisation through their pro bono services.
The Arts Law Centre of Australia, (Arts Law), is the national community legal centre for the arts. It provides artists and arts organisations with low cost, legal advice and information on a wide range of matters. Each year, Arts Law honours the lawyers who have made an outstanding contribution to the arts community, on a voluntary basis. This year thirty lawyers will be presented with awards at the annual Pro Bono awards to recognise their contribution to Arts Law in 2014.
the ‘Arts Community Pro Bono Award’ allows arts organisations to acknowledge the voluntary work done by a lawyer for the arts community.
If you received valuable advice or assistance from a pro bono lawyer in 2014 Arts Law Centre of Australia would like to hear from you. In 200 words or less, tell them why the Pro Bono lawyer you nominate should be acknowledged for their Pro Bono work. (For example, your organisation may have a lawyer on your board or a lawyer may give your organisation or artists free legal advice on contracts.) The winner will be decided by Arts Law.
Please download the form here (or from the side of this page), and email the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org with your nomination by Friday the 29th of May 2015.
