ArtsJob | Museum of the Riverina25.03.2015
The Museum of the Riverina in Wagga Wagga is seeking Expressions of Interests from suitably qualified consultants to assist with the development of educational resources for the Museum of the Riverina project, Talking Machines.
The project aims to capture histories and stories of the farming community in the Riverina region, through the rusted metal frames and once sharp blades of dormant farm machinery they used. 11 community museums will take part and the project will be delivered over a two year period (March 2015 – February 2017).
A series of thematic trails will be developed focusing on key heritage objects that have been selected from the partner museums. The themed trails will span the Riverina and speak to Australia’s role in the industrial revolution.
Other project outcomes include the filming of up to 40 video testimonies across 11 communities, new audio-visual interpretation for all partner museums and a Talking Machines digital tour available to download from the website of Museums & Galleries of NSW.
The Education Consultant will deliver the educational resource component of this project.
Closes 4pm, Thursday 30 April
