ArtsJob | Belconnen Arts Centre

Creative Program Director

Located in ACT’s beautifully appointed Belconnen Arts Centre on the picturesque shore of Lake Ginninderra; the Creative Program Director will be the key creative figure in a leadership team with the Business and Operations Director and Chief Executive Officer.

You will lead your team of three arts and cultural professionals who are charged with researching, developing and growing networks to identify opportunities and then devise, produce and deliver a carefully conceived creative program of exhibitions, events and workshops.  Together you will draw on the expertise of your colleagues and have access to and support from causals, volunteers, Board members and an engaged and culturally diverse community.   You will maximise the potential of Belconnen Arts Centre’s four gallery spaces, its magnificent foyer, creative workshops, the surrounding site and as opportunities arise, throughout the Australian Capital Territory and beyond.

By actively reaching out to the broader ACT community, engaging with the extraordinary depth of its arts practitioners and by strategically guiding your team, you will ensure the fulfilment of the ACT’s ambitious Community Cultural Inclusion Program.  You must be able to achieve a sophisticated integration of a community cultural development approach with the potential of the arts centre’s resources while driving the creation and growth of outreach opportunities for inclusion in the arts.

An application package including position description, selection criteria, operation structure, draft contract of employment, detailed site map, Strategic Plan 2015-2019 and the 2014 Belconnen Arts Centre Annual Report will be sent to you after emailing your request to: recruitment@belconnenartscentre.com.au
