Left Field Project | Orana Arts

OFFICIAL OPENING / ARTIST TALK THURSDAY 13 MARCH 2014 6PM

The Left Field Project exhibition features four regional emerging Aboriginal artists, Aleshia Lonsdale (Mudgee), Dylan Goolgong (Dubbo), Paris Norton (Coonabarabran) and Sandra Peckham (Dandaloo).

The exhibition showcases bodies of work produced through the Left Field Project Aboriginal Mentoring program that paired these local artists with established contemporary Aboriginal artists, Jason Wing, Adam Hill (aka Blak Douglas) r e a and Karla Dickens.

Funding for the project was provided by the Indigenous Cultural Support Program of the Ministry of the Arts, Attorney-General’s Department.

The artworks of this exhibition are the product of sustained dialogue between regional artists who bring an intimate understanding, passion and concern for the subjects of their art and the more established mentor artists who brought their broad knowledge of contemporary technique to help realise the final work.

Exhibition continues until 27th March 2014
