Calling Amateur Photographers!19.11.2013
South West Arts invites amateur photographers to submit an Expression of Interest to be a part of a unique, large-scale photographic exhibition.
The Face of the South West is a region-wide cultural development project that engages and explores the ‘character’ of the region and the people that choose to live in the South West of NSW. The project aims to explore the day-to-day realities of life in small towns and share people’s aspirations and thoughts for the future, particularly within the context of the broader political and economic changes that rural Australia is experiencing.
Amateur photographers will be given the opportunity to work closely with four professional photographers from across the region working together to create an exciting one of a kind exhibition throughout south-western NSW.
Participants will be required to attend one full day workshop in Deniliquin, one full day on location with the Professional Photographer, along with regular communication with the mentor online.
To submit for participation in the program please send a letter of interest together with portfolio of work to SWA via email or hard copy.
Submissions due COB 27th November 2013
For further information about the project and what is required please contact Juliette Winterflood at South West Arts on (03) 5881 7749 or firstname.lastname@example.org
