2013 Central West Regional Art and the Calleen Art Award



The Cowra Regional Art Gallery is calling for artists to submit original works for two nationally recognised awards. With the aim to foster and encourage originality, creativity and excellence in the Cnetral West region of NSW,

2013 Calleen Art Award

An acquisitive art award worth $17,000 for an original painting. The award is open to artists over 18 years living and working in Australia.  The Calleen Art Award was initiated in 1977 by Patricia Fagan OAM and is sponsored by the Calleen Trust.

Entries must be an original artwork in any painting medium including oils, acrylic or watercolour.


2013 Central West Regional Art Award

The Central West Regional Art Award was  established in 2009 by the Cowra Regional Art Gallery with the generous  support of a private donor.

Open to artists over 18 years who live and work in Bathurst, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Lachlan, Lithgow, Mudgee, Gulgong, Oberon, Orange, Parkes, Weddin, Young and Wellington, the prize is awarded for an original painting or drawing.

The winner of the Central West Regional Art Award will be awarded a prize of $2,000 for their winning submission and will also receive the opportunity of an exhibition at the Cowra Regional Art Gallery.
