RANSW welcomes Anna Evans to Arts OutWest01.10.2012
Anna Evans has joined the team at Arts OutWest as Aboriginal Health Promotions Officer on the Spread the Word project. A Wiradjuri woman from Bathurst, Anna will work two days per week over the next nine months alongside arts workers and health staff. Spread the Word is a publicity campaign for prevention measures in chronic disease funded through the Department of Health and Ageing. The project will engage local Aboriginal people to generate work aimed at Aboriginal people. Activities will include graphic design, film-making and a continuation of the belly casting project. Many of the materials created will then become part of ongoing local health strategies. Find out more on the Arts OutWest website.
Spread the Word is a partnership between Arts OutWest, the Western NSW Local Health District (LHD) Aboriginal Health Management Team.
