Arts on Tour rounds up another Drover Award01.09.2012
Regional Arts NSW congratulates Arts on Tour NSW (AOT) for receiving the Drover Award for Tour of the Year for the third year in a row. Riverside Productions and AOT collected the esteemed Award for Rainbow’s End at last week’s national award ceremony. The Drovers, awarded by APACA, celebrate and recognise the contributions of all companies involved with national touring and the best touring talent. Rainbow’s End was Arts on Tour’s second largest tour for 2011, visiting 33 venues and travelling throughout Australia. Directed by award‐winning Craig Ilott and produced by Riverside Productions, Rainbow’s End tells the story of three generations of Koori women, the transformative power of learning and the fierce optimism of the women as they struggle for community acceptance during the conservative period of the fifties.
