Stocktake of regional research by Regional Australia Institute01.08.2012
The Regional Australia Institute (RAI) is undertaking a stocktake of regional research to catalogue existing research on regional issues. The research is being gathered to build an information database that will connect policy makers, researchers, community leaders and other stakeholders with research on regional Australia. Many researchers and users of research in regions and government have identified the on going challenge of connecting with relevant existing knowledge about regional development to enable good policy and decisions to be made. The RAI see the stocktake of regional research as a long term solution to this issue. Anyone interested in contributing to the stocktake is asked to subscribe to www.regionalaustralia.org.au where, as a first step, they will be sent an online survey.
