Public art unveiled in Lismore

Lismore City Council and Lismore Regional Gallery last month erected two new public works of art in July – a large mural by Aboriginal artist Karla Dickens will overlook Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre plus the skatepark and an intricate mosaic by Scott Harrower in Spinks Park pays tribute to the rich traditions and contributions of local Italian migrants. Lismore Regional Gallery Director Brett Adlington said the two new public art pieces will not only look amazing but are a tangible demonstration of the city’s Public Art Policy in action.
