Price's Cafe project launched in Moruya

In late July, South East Arts proudly launched Price’s Cafe – a living exhibition that will celebrate Moruya’s social hub for Aboriginal people in the 1950s & 60s. The Price’s Cafe project is an original idea by leading South Coast Indigenous artist Cheryl Davison and will recreate a section of this iconic cafe in a compelling exhibition for the 2013 Eurobodalla River of Art Festival. Price’s Cafe is the first project as part of the Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Action Plan 2012-15 developed by South East Arts to provide a strategic approach to the development of Aboriginal arts and culture in the region. South East Arts is calling for donations from businesses and members of the community to broaden the reach of the Price’s Cafe project. For further information, visit the South East Arts website.
Price’s Cafe project is supported by the Australian Government through the Indigenous Culture Support program and the NSW State Government through Arts NSW.
