Festivals Australia Announce Grant Recipients01.06.2012
Five NSW festival arts projects have landed funding through round 34 of the Festivals Australia program. The funding support aims to assist festivals to showcase arts activities that have not yet been presented to the public. Moorambilla Festival received a $21,970 grant to develop multimedia installation Projection Positive, while Albury City Council will use its $22,150 funding for the Bundyi Circus Project at the Bundyi: Come Share with Us Festival. Ukitopia Arts Collective will put its $8,705 grant towards local artist-facilitated community workshops on bamboo installations at the Ukitopia Festival. Southern Cross Soloists will use its $10,000 grant for its Little Green Road to Fairyland composition, featuring Katie Noonan on vocals, at the Bangalow Music Festival. Arts Council of the Dorrigo Incorporation received $9,980 for their We Are workshops exploring agriculture, water and health themes though song sculptures at the Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival.
